SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 26 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria expects the number of foreign tourists visiting the country to increase by 3.0% and 4.0% in 2015, tourism minister Nikolina Angelkova said, as quoted by local media on Thursday.
In 2015, Bulgaria expects 5.0% growth in the number of German tourists, Angelkova said in an interview for the state-run Bulgarian National Television.
Bulgaria also expects a rise in the number of tourists from Greece and Serbia, she added.
According to Angelkova, the expected drop in the number of Russian and Ukrainian tourists will be offset by a growth in the number of tourists from Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus.
In 2014 Bulgaria was visited by 4.5 million foreign tourists, down by 7.8% compared to 2013.
