June 13 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia in April rose by 8.6% on the year to 228, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in April jumped 20.3% year-on-year to 3 billion denars ($54.9 million/48.6 million euro), the data showed.
A total of 138 permits were issued for new buildings, 29 for civil engineering projects, and 61 for reconstruction projects in April.
In the reference period, 461 dwellings are planned for construction, with total useful floor area of 36,417 sq m.
Individuals accounted for 138 of the granted permits, and companies took the remaining 90.
