September 21 (SeeNews) - The industrial production of Bosnia's Serb Republic rose by an annual 11.8% in August and was 8.4% lower than a month earlier, official data showed on Monday.
In July, the output was 19.3% higher than a year ago and 0.9% up on the month, the Republic's Statistics Office said in a statement posted on its website.
In August, the index for the mining industry output fell by 1.3% on the month and was 22.4% higher on the year, while the processing industry index dropped by a monthly 2.7% and was up by an annual 43.7%, the statement said.
The index for electricity, gas and water supply fell 33% from July and was 13.8% down on the year.

The industrial output of the Serb Republic rose by 16.8% last year after expanding by just 1.4% in 2007.
