SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 27 (SeeNews) – The trade deficit of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina widened 2.9% on the year to 4.7 billion marka ($2.6 billion/2.4 billion euro) in 2016, data from the entity's statistics office showed.
Exports rose 1.8% on the year to 6.3 billion marka through December, while imports increased 2.3% to 10.9 billion marka, the statistics agency said in a statement earlier this week.
In December alone, the entity's trade deficit equalled 442.8 million marka, as imports increased by 13.2% on the year to 987.96 million marka and exports rose 15.5% to 545.1 million marka.
The Federation and the Serb Republic are the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
