September 10 (SeeNews) - Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske said it has put into operation the 9.96 megawatt Bogatici-Nova hydropower plant on the river Zeljeznica.
The new HPP, worth 18.5 million marka ($11 million/9.5 million euro), has an average production of 46.26 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, ERS said in a statement last week.
The investor is power distributor Elektrodistribucija Pale, a unit of ERS.
ERS is the power utility of Bosnia's Serb Republic, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
Bosnia has two other power utilities - Elektroprivreda HZHB and Elektroprivreda BiH, the largest of the three. Elektroprivreda HZHB and Elektroprivreda BiH are both based in the Federation.
