March 25 (SeeNews) - Bosnia and Herzegovina has begun the reconstruction of the Sitnica border crossing, located in the Serb republic, on the border with Montenegro, the local government said.
The works on the checkpoint which will be equipped for the integrated crossing of passengers and goods, will cost a total of 2.4 million marka ($1.3 million/1.2 million euro) and be financed by Bosnia’s government, the Herceg Novi municipal government said in a press release on Monday.
The checkpoint will be equipped for the integrated crossing of passengers and goods, significantly reducing the waiting time.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
