February 3 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian unit of Germany's BMW Group said on Friday it has sold 908 cars in 2016, up by 0.5% compared to 2015.
The company plans to open a new showroom in Sofia in the second half of 2017, under the management of the authorized BMW dealer M Kar, BMW Bulgaria said in a statement.

The company also announced its intentions to introduce its brand of electric cars, BMW i, to the Bulgarian market. BMW Bulgaria plans to issue certificates to three authorized dealers who will sell and service the new brand - Auto Bavaria in Sofia, M Kar in Plovdiv and Bova Kar in Bourgas.
The company's flagship series BMW 7, recorded sales of 85 vehicles in 2016, representing 9% of the BMW cars sold in Bulgaria last year.
The BMW Group has sold 2 million vehicles worldwide in 2016, which is an increase of 5.3% over the previous year.
