May 18 (SeeNews) - Two workers were seriously injured on Thursday in a blast at a Bulgarian steel plant operated by Stomana Industry, part of Greek heavy industry corporation Viohalco group, national radio broadcaster said on Thursday.
The accident took place in one of the steel mill's furnaces, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.
The two injured workers have been hospitalised.
Stomana Industry produces reinforcing steel, heavy plate, merchant bars, steels, profiles and sections. Its steel plant is located in Pernik, some 20 km southwest of Sofia.
Viohalco, headquartered in Belgium, owns 99.99% of Stomana Industry.
