May 16 (SeeNews) - Belgrade's stock indices dropped on Monday, whereas turnover soared, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, tracking the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended 0.86% lower at 613.97 after rising 0.2% on Friday.
The broader BELEXline index lost 1.29% to 1,329.84 after adding 0.37% in the previous trading session.
Total turnover surged to 143.6 million dinars ($1.3 million/1.2 million euro) from 18 million dinars on Friday.
Oil and gas firm NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue chip gainers for the second day in a row, rising 0.64% to 625 dinars with 21,009 shares changing hands, making it the most traded company with a daily turnover of 13.1 million dinars.
Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the blue chip losers, dropping 10.86% to 8,550 dinars as 18 shares were sold.
