May 18 (SeeNews) - Belgrade's stock indices ended higher on Wednesday, whereas turnover increased sharply, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, tracking the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, rose 0.87% to 620.28 after adding 0.15% on Tuesday.
The broader BELEXline index gained 0.98% to 1,342.85 from 1,329.81 in the previous trading session.
Total turnover soared to 123.8 million dinars ($1.1 million /1 million euro) from 14.9 million dinars on Tuesday, boosted by treasury bonds trade.
Soybean processing company Sojaprotein [BEL:SJPT] led the blue chip gainers, rising 8.52% to 879 dinars with 6,390 shares changing hands.
Lender AIK Banka [BEL:AIKB] paced the blue chip losers, shedding 1.06% to 1,780 dinars as 340 shares were sold.
Industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] was the most traded company with a daily turnover of 12 million dinars. The stock closed flat from Tuesday at 8,000 dinars.
