February 1 (SeeNews) - Serbia's main airport, in Belgrade, serviced record-high 329,843 passengers in January, up 14% year-on-year, airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] said on Wednesday.
The cargo throughput of Belgrade airport rose by 30% year-on-year in January, the airport operator said without revealing further details.
Belgrade airport serviced record-high 4,924,992 passengers in 2016, up 3% year-on-year, but slightly below its five-million passengers target.
The number of takeoffs and landings at the airport edged up 0.2% in 2016 to 58,633. Cargo volume increased 7% to 13,939 tonnes.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla shares traded up 1.27% at 1,101 dinars on the Belgrade bourse by 10:30 CET on Wednesday.
