March 26 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 1.21% higher at 981.08 points on Tuesday, supported by gains in insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS], bourse data showed.
Dunav closed 4.76% higher at 1,034 dinars in a volume of 3,819 shares.
At the other end, Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] paced the blue-chip decliners, shedding 0.28% to 1,800 dinars.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] generated the largest stock turnover on Tuesday. A total of 366 Messer shares changed hands in a turnover of 8.9 million dinars. Messer closed 1.67% higher at 24,401 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, ended 1.62% higher at 2,138.63 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 343.8 million dinars ($3.2 million/2.9 million euro) on Tuesday from 26.7 million dinars on Monday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 317.5 million dinars of Tuesday's turnover.
