March 1 (SeeNews) - The governments of Azerbaijan and Albania signed an agreement for the mutual elimination of visas for citizens of both countries, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Albania, Anar Huseynov, said on Friday.
The agreement was signed following discussions about fostering collaboration between the two nations, Anar Huseynov said in a post on social media X, without disclosing when the agreement is set to enter into force.
An Albanian delegation led by prime minister Edi Rama is in Baku to discuss natural gas supply options to the country through the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), part of the Southern Gas Corridor which delivers gas to Europe via Greece and Albania to Italy.
