September 2 (SeeNews) - Austrian real estate company Supernova is launching reconstruction works worth 15 million euro ($16.4 million) at its shopping centre Kaptol in the Croatian capital Zagreb on Monday, Kaptol announced.
"With this project Supernova Group plans to modernise and refresh the entire interior area of the centre via enriching the content offered to buyers," Kaptol Centar said in a statement published on its website.
The project should be completed by the end of 2020. The renovation will not affect the exterior of the building and its facade.
All shops, restaurants and cinema at Kaptol will remain open during the period of renovation.
Supernova opened its first shopping centre in Croatia, Supernova Zadar, in 2010, while the Supernova Zagreb Buzin shopping park was opened in 2014, according to data published on the company's website.
It acquired a 70 million euro ($76.8 million) retail park portfolio in Croatia in 2016, bought the inner city shopping centre Supernova Cvjetni in Zagreb for 50 million euro in 2017, and acquired another shopping centre portfolio of 60 million euro in 2017/2018, including City Colosseum in Slavonski Brod, and Centar Kaptol and Branimir Centar in Zagreb, to become a market leader in the Adriatic country.
In addition, Supernova completed an expansion of Supernova Zadar shopping centre in 2018.
