ZAGREB (Croatia), October 1 (SeeNews) – The Number of automated teller machines (ATMs) in Croatia rose by 9.5% on the year to 3,470 in the first half of 2009, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, HGK, said on Thursday.
The number of Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale (EFT POS) terminals in the country of 4.4 million people was 82,842 at the end of June, 8.2% up from a year earlier, the Sector for Banking and Other Financial Institutions in the HGK said in a statement to SeeNews.
At the end of June, the number of credit and debit cards issued in Croatia was 8.536 million, the statement said without giving a year-ago figure.
