March 6 (SeeNews) - Financial services company Asterion Bulgaria said it turned to a consolidated net loss of 1.79 million levs ($992,917/915,209 euro) last year from a net profit of 3.95 million levs in 2022.
The company's total revenue surged to 97 million levs in 2023 from some 51.9 million levs a year earlier, Asterion said in a financial statement last week. Of that, sales of goods generated 82.5 million levs compared to some 25 million levs the previous year.

In parallel, operating expenses widened to 98.8 million levs from 47.9 million levs on the back of higher costs of goods sold.
Asterion's consolidated assets stood at some 249.6 million levs at the end of last year, up from 125.4 million levs at the end of 2022, the statement showed.
The company is wholly owned by local automobiles and car parts trader Power Logistics. For its part, Asterion owns Avto Union, a holding comprising car dealing and auto parts trading businesses, and is a shareholder in Eurolease Group, or ELG, which is active in Romania and North Macedonia.
