September 22 (SeeNews) - Grabner Instruments, the petroleum testing tools subsidiary of US electronic instruments manufacturer Ametek, opened a factory in the free zone of Subotica, in northern Serbia, local media reported.
Grabner Instruments has already started exporting the factory's output to the U.S., the public broadcaster of the autonomous Serbian province of Vojvodina, RTV, reported on Tuesday.
The factory, which opened 20 jobs, is the company's ninth unit in Serbia, RTV quoted the director of Ametek Serbia, Slobodan Antic, as saying.
Ametek has been operating in Serbia for more than ten years and currently has about 460 employees.
The company is a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with headquarters in the United States and over 220 manufacturing sites worldwide.
