TIRANA (Albania), May 31 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Albania fell by 10.9% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, to 245, the national statistical agency, INSTAT, said on Friday.
Of these, 161 building permits were issued for residential buildings, INSTAT said in a quarterly report.
The estimated value of the approved construction projects increased to 25.2 billion leks ($226.6 million/203.5 million euro), from 10.2 billion leks in the first quarter of 2018.
Most of the permits, 94, were issued for buildings in the capital Tirana, followed by 26 in the country's biggest port city of Durres.
