August 21 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania amounted to some 418 billion leks ($4.52 billion/3.18 billion euro) at the end of June, 20% up from a year earlier, central bank statistics indicated on Friday.
On a monthly basis the banks' June credit portfolio was 1.3% lower.
At the end of 2008 the banks’ credit portfolio totalled 396.3 billion leks, 35% up on the year.
