March 1 (SeeNews) - Albania’s overall economic confidence indicator remained unchanged at 106.7 percentage points in February 2023, compared with the previous month, after rising by 0.6 pp in January, the central bank said on Wednesday.
The indicator continued to be above the historical average and was driven mainly by the increase of the industry, construction, trade and consumer confidence, Bank of Albania said in a monthly survey.
The consumer confidence indicator improved by 0.2 pp, while the industry confidence indicator increased by 2.2 pp in February compared with January. The building confidence indicator rose by 6.2 pp, whereas the trade confidence indicator advanced 0.9 pp.
The services confidence indicator was the only indicator that decreased in February, falling by 2 pp month-on-month.
Bank of Albania is carrying out the surveys of businesses and consumers since 2002. Starting from May 2021, the frequency of the survey was changed from quarterly to monthly.
