May 4 (SeeNews) - Albania has registered eight new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number to 803, local media reported on Monday.
Some 68% of the total confirmed cases have recovered, Albanian Daily News reported, citing Eugena Tomini, representative of the public health institute.
Albania's parliament adopted last month a plan for gradual restarting of the economy and easing of movement restrictions.
As of May 4, taxi intercity services will be allowed to operate, however transporting only two members of a family. Beauty shops, barbershops, dental clinics and retail shops within shopping malls will reopen on May 11, the prime minister's office said last week, quoting Ogerta Manastirliu, minister of health and social protection.
Under the plan, the government will consider partially opening bars and restaurants as of May 18, Manastirliu said.
