November 16 (SeeNews) - Albania's consolidated budget was in deficit of 35.9 billion leks ($332.8 billion/291.2 million euro) in the ten months through October, lower than the deficit of 66.2 billion leks recorded in the same period of last year, official preliminary figures showed.
Consolidated budget revenue increased by 19.1% year-on-year in the January-October period, reaching 414 billion leks, while expenditures rose by 8.7% to 450 billion leks, according to data published by the finance ministry on Monday.
Total tax revenue increased by an annual 18.4% in the ten months through October, to 360.6 billion leks, with customs revenue up 24.4% to 153.9 billion leks.
In the 2021 state budget, the Albanian government has forecast economic growth of 5.5% and budget deficit of 120.5 billion leks, equivalent to 6.9% of the projected GDP.
