Albanian JV wins tender for urban infrastructure works in Vlora

TIRANA (Albania), November 21 (SeeNews) – The Albanian Development Fund (ADF) said it has selected local joint venture Arifaj & Denis 05 as the winner in a tender for the upgrade of buildings infrastructure in the main boulevard of the southern port city of Vlora.

The assignment is estimated to cost 65.3 million leks ($583,700/527,300 euro), value added tax included, ADF said in a statement on Wednesday.

The construction works must be completed within four months.

Two bids were submitted in the tender.

The assignment is part of a major project for the development of the Albanian Alps and coastal areas co-financed with a 28.7 million euro loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and a contribution of 6.0 million euro from the Albanian government.

The ADF is a public agency whose mission is to encourage a sustainable, balanced and cohesive socio-economic development at local and regional level. The ADF was established at the beginning of 1993, based on an agreement between the Albanian government and the World Bank.
