November 13 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania amounted to some 427.45 billion leks ($4.63 billion/3.11 billion euro) at the end of September, up 13.2% from a year earlier, central bank statistics indicated.
On a monthly basis the banks' end-September credit portfolio was 1.0% higher.
At the end of 2008 the banks’ credit portfolio totalled 396.3 billion leks, up 35% on the year.
