November 23 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank will auction 3.0 billion leks ($36.7 million/24.72 million euro) in three-month Treasury bills on Tuesday, the bank said on Friday.
The T-bills, which the central bank offers on behalf of the Finance Ministry, mature on February 28.
Albania's three-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 6.04% at the last auction held on November 13, down from 6.05% achieved in the previous auction on November 11.
The Bank of Albania auctions lek-denominated three-month T-bills weekly, usually on Tuesdays, and six-month and 12-month T-bills twice a month, also on Tuesdays.
This week the bank did not offered three months treasury issue.
The Bank of Albania ( www.bankofalbania.org ) has auctioned T-bills worth 345.53 billion leks in par value since the beginning of the year. Last year it sold 460.13 billion leks worth of T-bills, compared to 465.2 billion leks in 2005.
