September 11 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank will auction 13.1 billion leks ($142.9 million/99 million euro) in six-month and 12-month Treasury bills on September 15, it said on Friday.
The Bank of Albania, which offers the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, will auction 4.8 billion leks worth of six-month T-bills and 8.3 billion leks worth of 12-month T-bills.
The six-month T-bills have an issue date of September 17 and will mature on March 18, 2010. The 12-month government paper will mature on September 16, 2010.
Albania's six-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 7.66% in the last auction held on August 18, unchanged from the previous auction on July 14. The 12-month T-bills produced a weighted average yield of 9.30% in the last auction held on September 1, almost unchanged from the 9.29% achieved in the previous auction.
The Bank of Albania has auctioned Treasury bills worth 262 billion leks since the beginning of this year. It auctioned T-bills worth 373 billion leks in par value last year, compared to 386.83 billion leks in 2007.
