July 25 (SeeNews) - Albania's parliament swore in Bajram Begaj as the country's new president, local media reported.
Begaj was elected president by the country's parliament in April.
Some 78 members of a 140-seat legislature voted in favour of Begaj's appointment as president, Euronews Albania reported on Sunday.
Begaj replaces Ilir Meta, who served as Albania's president from July 2017 to July 2022.
