Spanish stainless steel maker Acerinox reported a net profit of EUR 80.32 million in 2016, up 87.2%.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 15% to EUR 329.07 million, while revenue went down by 6% to EUR 3.968 billion, due to the fluctuations in the price of nickel.
The net financial debt of the group was reduced to EUR 598 million on December 31, 2016, from EUR 620 million at the end of 2015.
