1996 – Romanian-German joint venture Bilstein Compa SA is established in Sibiu, central Romania between local automotive spare parts producer Compa SA and Thyssen Krupp AG, a German steelmaker and engineering company.
1997 - Bilstein Compa SA merges with concern Kurp and changes its name to Krupp Bilstein Compa SA.
2002 - Concernes "Thyssen" and "Krupp" merge and the company's name is changed again from Bilstein Compa SA to ThyssenKrupp Bilstein Compa SA.
2009 - ThyssenKrupp Bilstein Compa SA is awarded ISO/TS 16949:2009 Quality management systems certificate.
