A 5.26% drop in hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 10.80 levs and a 3.90% tumble in diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] to 0.74 levs drove down SOFIX.

The two companies also constrained the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The biggest loser in the BGBX40, however, was aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:ALCM], which sank 6.76% to 6.90 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 index declined by 0.25% to 172.50 points, whereas the BGTR30 shed 0.30% to 864.87 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, fell by 0.06% to 191.05 levs on the back of a 0.29% slip in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.39 levs.

A 9.30% plunge in biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT] to 1.17 levs mostly held back the BEAMX. The index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, slumped 1.43% to 98.33 points.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse went up to 10.76 million levs ($5.98 million/5.50 million euro) on Wednesday from 10.34 million levs on Tuesday.

IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG] generated the highest turnover of the day, at 269,450 levs, after 3,661 shares traded. The stock closed 1.10% higher at 73.60 levs.
