Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB] drove the gains among the blue-chips, advancing 2.60% to 1.58 levs. SOFIX was also bolstered by a 1.62% increase in drug maker Sopharma to 6.28 levs.

On the other hand, Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] paces the SOFIX decliners, erasing 1.21% to 8.14 levs.

The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, squeezed into green territory, up 0.09% to 156.63 points. The rise in CCB and Sopharma were coupled with a 6.00% jump in cables maker Emka [BUL:EMKA] to 2.12 levs. Another BGBX40 constituent, Synergon Holding [BUL:SNRG], added 2.60% to 0.985 levs, in a trading volume of 14,157.

For its part, the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, ticked down 0.11% to 778.87 points. This slip was chiefly due to a 6.00% downfall at poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] to 1.14 levs.

The highest decline on the day was registered in the recently launched BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies. The BEAMX retreated 0.92% to 98.94 points, dragged down by a 4.49% loss in Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 17.00 levs. In addition, Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON], the investment firm behind cargo drone developer Dronamics, shed 2.36% to 2.90 levs.

Lastly, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, inched down 0.04% to 190.63 points, on the back of a 1.57% slip in Sopharma Buildings [BUL:SFB] to 25.40 levs.

Property, healthcare and energy-focused diversified group Synthetica [BUL:SYN] was the most traded stock on the day. It generated a turnover of 19.2 million levs ($10.4 million/9.8 million euro) as 380,005 shares changed hands. The stock closed flat at 50.50 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the BSE skyrocketed to some 29.1 million levs on Tuesday from roughly 3.4 million levs a day earlier.
