SOFIX was held back by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE], which dipped by 2.78% to 14.00 levs, and diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], which shed 2.51% to 0.70 levs.

The BSE and Chimimport also brought down the broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The constituent that lost the most in the BGBX40, however, was cables manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA], which slid 2.88% to 2.02 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 went down 0.28% to 161.63 points, while the BGTR30 ended the session 0.32% lower at 802.34 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, erased 0.23% to 189.01 points. It was hit by a 0.78% decline in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.56 levs and a 0.30% slip in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.32 levs.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, posted the only gain of the day, adding 0.44% to 97.93 points. Its performance was driven by a 3.06% increase in electric vehicle manufacturer Sin Cars Industry [BUL:SIN] to 0.505 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse fell to some 1.92 million levs ($1.06 million/981,677 euro) on Monday from 2.49 million levs on Friday.

The top stock by turnover was chemicals supplier Himsnab Bulgaria [BUL:CHSB], which generated 649,650 levs with 10,650 shares traded. The company closed flat at 61.00 levs.
