Most Sofia bourse indices rise, Fibank paces gainers

The benchmark index was lifted by a 4.92% jump in First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB] to 2.56 levs and a 2.27% increase in diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR] to 45.00 levs.

The two companies also helped the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGBX40 index was additionally boosted by fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH], which gained 4.13% to 18.90 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 advanced by 0.19% to 165.20 points, while the BGTR30 grew by 0.07% to 819.50 points.

Meanwhile, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, declined by 0.10% to 191.32 points. It was pressed by a 2.33% dip in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.52 levs.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, shed 1.01% to 96.28 points. Its biggest loser was biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT], which dropped 5.83% to 1.13 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse surged to roughly 5.66 million levs ($3.13 million/2.89 million euro) on Tuesday from 1.6 million levs on Thursday. Friday and Monday were non-trading days for the BSE.

IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG] generated the day's highest turnover, at 92,954 levs, after 1,371 shares traded. The stock closed 0.30% higher at 67.80 levs.
