Most Sofia bourse indices fall, Agria leads blue-chip gainers

May 13 (SeeNews) - Most indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed lower on Monday, whereas the blue-chip SOFIX grew by 0.10% to 838.79 points, bourse data showed.

The benchmark index was lifted by a 7.84% jump in farming group Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH] to 22.00 levs and a 1.99% rise in diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] to 0.77 levs.

Agria Group was also the day's top stock by turnover, generating 254,342 levs ($140,173/130,043 euro) after 11,561 shares traded.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse declined to 840,030 levs on Monday from 935,812 levs on Friday.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, ended the session 0.06% higher at 190.25 points, following a 0.30% climb in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.39 levs.

In contrast, the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, slipped by 0.36% to 168.69 points. The index was brought down by diversified group Synergon Holding [BUL:SNRG], which dropped 9.77% to 1.20 levs, and software and IT services group Bianor Holding [BUL:BNR], which shed 6.93% to 4.70 levs.

A 3.85% tumble in Velgraf Asset Management [BUL:VAM] to 4.50 levs and a 3.03% fall in software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH] to 0.80 levs constrained the BGTR30. The index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged down 0.02% to 842.17 points.

For its part, the BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, erased 0.33% to 98.33 points. It was mostly held back by biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT], which went down 4.17% to 1.15 levs.
