November 18 (SeeNews) - Greece posted annual deflation of 2.0% in October - the sharpest decrease in consumer prices among EU member states, the EU's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Slovenia and Croatia also reported a drop in consumer prices in October, of 0.5% and 0.2% year-on-year, respectively, Eurostat said in a statement.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Bulgaria reported an annual inflation rate of 0.6% in the month under review, above the EU's average inflation of 0.3%.
Among EU member states in SEE, Romania had the highest inflation rate in October, of 1.8% - the fourth-highest rate in the EU-27 group.
Greece reported the sharpest annual decline in consumer prices in September as well - of 2.3%.
