August 1 (SeeNews) - Greece registered the second-highest seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in the EU in June, at 11.1%, preceded only by Spain with 11.7%, Eurostat said on Tuesday.
Slovenia, on the other hand, registered the lowest jobless rate among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE) in June, at 3.5%, the EU's statistical office said in a monthly data release.
Croatia was the only other EU member in SEE to post an unemployment rate above the bloc's average of 5.9%, at 6.8%.
All countries in the SEE region posted annual declines in their jobless rates in June, with Greece marking the biggest one, at 1.2 percentage points.
