Eurohold, Bulgarian Real Estate Fund boost Sofia bourse indices

January 4 (SeeNews) - All five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) finished in green territory on Thursday, mostly thanks to advances in energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], bourse data showed.

Eurohold Bulgaria jumped 7.19% to 1.64 levs, while Bulgarian Real Estate Fund climbed 6.50% to 2.62 levs in a trading volume of 18,212.

The two stocks helped the benchmark SOFIX make the biggest gain, of 0.89% to 764.52 points. They also propelled both the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight.

The BGBX40 was further propelled by a 4.76% rise in hotel operator albena [BUL:ALB] to 26.40 levs. The BGTR30, for its part, was also helped by constituent Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH], which increased 1.49% to 20.50 levs.

In all, the BGBX40 added 0.72% to 157.90 points whereas the BGTR30 ticked up 0.37% to 799.44 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, also made a strong gain, of 0.85% to 192.65 points, even as Advance Terrafund [BUL:ATER] slipped 2.11% to 3.25 levs with 8,650 shares traded.

Finally, the BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, grew 0.46% to 102.47 points. The index was mostly lifted by Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON], which ended the session 1.72% higher at 2.95 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the BSE went up to 762,162 levs ($427,007/389,687 euro) on Thursday from 253,506 levs on Wednesday.

The top stock by turnover was IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG], which generated 57,863 levs. The stock closed 1.05% higher at 48.30 levs, after 1,198 shares changed hands.
