January 10 (SeeNews) - Croatia recorded the EU's highest annual increase in house prices in the third quarter of 2023, at 10.9%, Eurostat said on Wednesday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, house prices in Croatia edged up 0.3% in the review period, below the average EU-wide rise of 0.8%, the EU's statistical office said in a data release.
Romania, on the other hand, posted the second-highest quarterly rise in house prices in the bloc, at 3.4%. Romania also registered the lowest yearly growth in housing prices among EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), for which data is available, at 4.8%.
At 9.2%, Bulgaria's annual house prices growth rate in July-September was the third-highest in the EU, compared to a bloc-average decline of 1%.
