October 28 (SeeNews) - Stolichen Avtotransport, the public bus transport company of Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, said on Wednesday that it has opened a new tender for supply of 52 new electric buses and charging stations for them, for an estimated total of 27.6 million levs ($16.6 million/14.1 million euro).
This is the company's third tender for the contract, after the previous two procedures were cancelled due to errors in the documentation in January and September, respectively.
The tender is divided into two lots - one envisaging the supply of 30 buses of 5.5-7.5 metres, and another for supply of 22 buses of 7.6-9.6 metres in length, municipally-owned Stolichen Avtotransport said in a tender notice.
The first lot has an estimated value of 12.5 million levs, while the second contract's price is estimated at 15.1 million levs.
The project benefits from EU funding under Operational Programme Environment 2014-2020. The deadline for submitting offers is November 30.
Bids will be ranked based on price, which carries 55% weight, as well as warranty conditions and technical characteristics.
