Eurohold/All rights reserved.

The benchmark index was dragged down by energy and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG], which dropped 6.45% to 1.45 levs, and farming group Agria Group Holding [BUL:AGH], which fell by 3.85% to 20.00 levs.

The two companies also set back the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGBX40 index was additionally impacted by a 6.25% tumble in fuel retailer Petrol [BUL:PET] to 0.75 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 sank by 0.58% to 167.31 points, whereas the BGTR30 index went down 0.12% to 849.93 points.

A 0.94% decline in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.15 levs constrained the BGREIT. The index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, slipped by 0.31% to 189.26 points.

Finally, the BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, dipped by 0.23% to 102.08 points on the back of a 2.56% decrease in venture capital firm Webit Investment Network [BUL:WIN] to 0.95 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse slid to 1.74 million levs ($950,856/889,645 euro) on Monday from 5.83 million levs on Friday.

The highest turnover of the day, at 547,747 levs, was generated by pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA] after 92,046 shares changed hands. The stock closed flat at 5.98 levs.
