Interenergo trades electricity in the wholesale market in 17 countries and on 14 international exchanges, and invests in electricity production from renewable energy sources in six European countries, the Montenegrin Power Exchange (MEPX) said in a statement.
MEPX is a limited liability company founded by power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), transmission system operator Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem (CGES) and the domestic power market operator COTEE in June 2017 under a Montenegrin government decision with the purpose of establishing and operating an organised electricity market in the country.
In December, MEPX delayed the launch of its day-ahead market until April 26 due to energy prices volatility, according to media reports.
