Romania's iHunt reaches 100 installed EV charging stations

June 10 (SeeNews) - Romanian online retailer and producer of smartphones iHunt [BSE:HUNT] said on Monday that it has reached the milestone of 100 installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, four months after it launched its iHunt EV business line.

The company plans to have 300 charging stations installed by the end of the year, it said in a press release.

"We want to reach as many installed locations as possible, initially in Romania and later in Europe," iHunt noted.

In the first trimester of 2024, iHunt booked a net profit of 47,563 lei ($10,272/9,558 euro), down by an annual 9.4%, on a net turnover of 8.74 million lei.

Founded in 2015 as a direct importer of mobile phones and accessories from China, iHunt Technology Import Export sells the products both through its online store and over 200 physical stores.

iHunt's shares traded 2.89% lower at 0.47 lei as at 1529 CET on Monday on the Bucharest bourse.
