March 24 (SeeNews) - Italian company Leitner has won a 22.5 million euro ($24.4 million) turnkey contract for the construction of a gondola lift in Serbia's Kopaonik ski resort, state-run ski infrastructure operator Skijalista Srbije said.
Leitner won the tender for the contract as leader of a consortium that also includes Serbian companies Brzmin, Elkoms, Deling, Ornament Investinzenjering, Estuar and Zapis pro, Skijalista Srbije said in a statement on Monday.
The gondola lift will link the villages of Brzece and Mali Karaman in the vicinity of Kopaonik. The deadline for its completion is 365 days after the start of construction works, according to tender documents published by Skijalista Srbije.
