October 22 (SeeNews) - Finnish electronics and wiring systems manufacturer PKC Group plans to open 300 new jobs at its factory in Serbia's Smederevo, the city government said.
The company is advancing its project for expansion of the Smederevo factory, representatives of PKC Wiring Systems , the local unit of PKC Group, said during a meeting with Smederevo mayor Jovan Bec on Tuesday, the city government said in a press release.

Last year, Serbian economy minister Goran Knezevic said that PKC Group was investing 20 million euro in the purchase of land and the construction of a new manufacturing unit at its Smederevo factory.
PKC opened its factory in Smederevo in 2014 and now has about 1,500 employees in Serbia. PKC Wiring Systems is mainly manufacturing wiring harnesses for commercial vechicle industry.
