Eolica Dobrogea's takeover by Premier Renewable probed by watchdog

The Competition Council will assess the terms of the notified transaction in accordance with current legislation to determine whether it can be granted clearance, the antitrust body said in a press release on Thursday.

Eolica Dobrogea One owns and operates a wind park with an installed capacity of 80 MW in the southeastern commune of Mihai Viteazu, Constanta county.

Spanish power utility Iberdrola said in April that it has sold subsidiary Eolica Dobrogea One to the Premier Energy group for 88 million euro ($95.9 million).

Last month, Premier Energy listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) acquired a 3.2% stake in the company in the IPO.

Shares in Premier Energy traded 0.48% lower at 20.9 lei ($4.58/4.2 euro) at 1355 CET on June 7.
