The production of electric Citroen C3 will be launched in autumn 2023 and the cars will be available for purchase on the European market in the first quarter of 2024, news provider Autorepublika reported last week.

According to another Serbian media outlet, Blic, the e-version of Citroen C3 will be manufactured at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Serbia factory in Kragujevac, while C3s with internal combustion engines will be produced in Slovakia.

In April 2022, multinational automotive manufacturing corporation Stellantis and Serbia signed a deal to jointly invest 190 million euro ($208.5 million) to launch the production of electric vehicles in Kragujevac.

Stellantis was formed in 2021 following the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and France's PSA Group.

FCA holds 67% of the capital of FCA Serbia and the Serbian government holds the remainder.
