Bulgaria's Energo-Pro Varna invests 255,000 euro in new regional grid

The works, part of the company's 2023 investment programme, were carried out in two locations, in the city of Dobrich and in the nearby village of Stozher, ERP North said in a press release.

The Dobrich city grid improvement cost 150,000 levs and involved laying 2,800 meters of low-voltage cable lines and installing four new distribution boxes.

In the second stage of the project, ERP North laid 2,500 metres of street cables and 2,900 of underground cables and made improvements to distribution and electricity metering infrastructure.

In the year to date, ERP North has invested a total of over 2.8 million levs in the maintenance and improvement of the Dobrich regional grid, the company said.

Energo-Pro Varna, part of Czech power utility group Energo-Pro, employs over 2,400 staff and serves some 1.2 million customers in nine regions of northeastern Bulgaria. It also operates as a wholesale electricity trader, with about 30,000 clients across the country.
