February 21 (SeeNews) - All five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) retreated on Wednesday, as losses in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] and diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] brought the benchmark SOFIX index down 0.14% to 780.01 points.

BREF shed 1.54% to 2.56 levs, while Doverie slipped by 1.08% to 9.20 levs.

The two companies also weighed on the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Both indices were further constrained by venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C], which dipped 1.11% to 17.80 levs.

Overall, both the BGBX40 and BGTR30 ended the session 0.07% lower, closing at 161.26 points and 802.10 points, respectively.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, fell by 0.32% to 189.13 points, following the decrease at BREF.

The BEAMX, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, posted the day's steepest decline, erasing 0.60% to 97.35 points. It was pressed by a 3.23% slide at biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT] to 1.20 levs and a 2.00% loss in organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 19.60 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse grew to 1.01 million levs ($557,820/516,403 euro) on Wednesday from 323,265 levs on Tuesday.

The highest turnover, or some 1.94 million levs, was generated by thermal power plant Bobov Dol [BUL:TBD]. The stock closed 3.70% lower at 26.00 levs after 74,500 shares traded.
