June 5 (SeeNews) - Albania’s energy efficiency agency opened an 83.3 million leks ($823,000/770,000 euro) tender for the installation of electric vehicles (EV) charging stations in eight cities and near border crossings, it said on Monday.
The winning operator will handle the installation of 50 MW fast EV charging stations in Saranda, Gjirokastra, Himara, Vlora, Durres, Velipoja, Shkodra and Korca and of 150 MW charging stations near the Hani i Hotit, Kakavija, Durres and Vlora checkpoints within eleven months documents published by the agency in the country’s procurement website show.
The project also foresees the establishment of a central monitoring and command terminal.
Bids should be submitted by June 20.
The Agency for Energy Efficiency is responsible for the implementation of policies and the promotion of energy efficiency measures.
