January 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian fertiliser producer Agropolychim has ordered 100 ammonia freight railway cars from Polish manufacturer Wagony Swidnica, part of US-based Greenbrier Group, for a total investment of 15 million euro ($16.5 million), Agropolychim owner Philippe Rombaut said on Thursday.
Each railway car has a capacity of 106 cubic metres or 55 tonnes of ammonia, Rombaut said in a social media post.
Agropolychim has also purchased from Mercedes Benz a Unimog U432 truck for shunting railway cars and road maneuvering, as the company is doubling its railway loading facilities for ammonia from 1000 to 2000 tonnes per day, he added.
